Soak it Up: Understanding Stormwater, Rain Gardens and Lawn Care

Erin will be speaking to the Salt Pond Coalition in Rhode Island on Thursday, June 25, 7PM at Kettle Pond Visitors Center in Charlestown, RI. She will discuss how your yard directly impacts your watershed. She will describe the link between stormwater that falls on your property and the waters of Rhode Island.

Erin will explain methods to manage your own landscape in a way that is most beneficial to the waterways we all know and love. The talk will include a description of rain gardens and organic lawn care, and how they work sustain a healthy ecosystem. She will also discuss a few of her favorite plants for rain gardens in Rhode Island.
